| Job Description |
**PENDING CONTRACT AWARD**
The Laborer (Seasonal) at the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) is a versatile, physically active worker who performs a wide range of manual tasks to support facility operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances * Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks * Stacks materials for storage or binning * Collects refuse and salvageable materials * Digs, fills and tamps earth excavations and level ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake * Shovels concrete and snow * Cleans culverts and ditches * Cuts tree and brush * Operates power lawnmowers * Operates basic hand tools and small equipment like shovels, sledgehammers, and pressure washers * Moves and arranges heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances * Moves heavy pieces of automotive, medical engineering, and other types of machinery and equipment * Spreads sand and salt on icy roads and walkways * Picks up leaves and trash * In coordination with Test and Lab leadership and under supervision -cleans up range and laboratories following test execution * Performs other duties as assigned

| Qualifications |
Required Skills and Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent, with some vocational or technical training is desired * Demonstrated physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor tasks * Ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely in a dynamic T&E environment * Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance and material handling * Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and safe T&E work environment * Strong commitment to safety procedures and regulations within a T&E range setting
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Prior experience in a similar labor-intensive role within a military or government environment * Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment used on a T&E range
Physical Qualifications
* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment * Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time * Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time * Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted * Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities
Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements
