Overview

The Senior Retirement Services Advisor is responsible for new business development in connection with an annual production requirement primarily in the North Mississippi, North Alabama, Golden Triangle and Memphis markets. The Senior Retirement Services Advisor will serve as an expert assisting in the sale of all types of retirement plans.

Responsibilities

    Work with Internal Relationship Managers to generate warm leads in order to drive consistent and predictable profitability and organic growth to support overall sales goals
  • Seek out new relationships with centers of influence and plan sponsors to further assist in the overall sales goals
  • Create an annual production calendar to include lead generation campaigns, cold calling, letters, etc.
  • Exhibit a deep knowledge of retirement plans in order to be a technical and educational resource for prospects and clients
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of present legislation and proposed legislative changes affecting ERISA and non-ERISA plans
  • Assist in training and mentoring of retirement sales staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Analytical thinking, including advanced writing/comprehension abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with internal and external clients
  • Strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail
