Job Summary The Sr Mechanical Engineer, prepares detail designs of GD-OTS products for application to contracted programs, supports new business activities, and does independent research and development activities. The ideal candidate will perform work that involves conventional types of designs, investigations, analyses, or equipment. Assignments will generally include one or more of the following: equipment design, analysis, test, or manufacture, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific area of assignments. We are looking for someone who can lead customer technical information exchanges.

Essential Functions
Additional Responsibilities Carries out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modelling, simulations (e.g., thermal and stress). Responsible for mechanical part selection and creating initial BOM, cost model and assembly drawings. Creates detailed drawings of parts for manufacturing. Required Qualifications

Travel Requirements Up to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD) $100,300-$135,700 Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
