Accounting Deductions Analyst (Remote)

We're partnering with a leading organization to hire a Deduction Analyst who will play a critical role in resolving complex customer deductions and driving financial accuracy across the business. This is a remote opportunity (Texas-based candidates only at this time, near Coppell is a plus) it is temporary long term. Advanced Excel skills, numbers acumen and general understanding of accounting principles is needed for this role.

• Investigate and resolve customer deduction discrepancies, including short payments and pricing variances
• Analyze deduction validity in alignment with company terms and conditions
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Retail Finance, Collections, and Supply Chain to drive resolution
• Review and manage deduction aging reports, ensuring timely closure of open items
• Dive into customer promotional data to validate pricing, volume, and performance
• Identify inconsistencies and recommend appropriate resolutions (clear, dispute, or escalate)
• Process deductions and credits through SAP and Trade Spend Management tools (training provided if needed)
• Ensure compliance with audit and SOX standards
• Contribute to process improvements within deduction management

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and solve problems independently
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Background in Accounting, Finance, or Business (degree preferred)
• Experience in AR/AP, billing, or financial operations is a plus-but not required
• Self-starter who can stay productive in a remote environment
• Detail-oriented with a balance of speed and accuracy
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate findings clearly
