Hours and Pay



  • Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 annually (depending on experience)

Daily Responsibilities



  • Provide technical leadership and support for injection molding operations, driving improvements in scrap reduction, cycle times, and setup efficiency
  • Establish and maintain robust process windows using scientific molding techniques and DOE methodologies
  • Conduct process validation, capability analysis, and root cause investigations to improve product quality and process stability
  • Optimize manufacturing workflows, equipment layout, and space utilization for maximum efficiency
  • Lead and coordinate cGMP-compliant manufacturing improvements and technical activities
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, setup procedures, and technical specifications
  • Design and specify new manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Identify equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement, product design, and process enhancements
  • Support the development of PFMEA, control plans, and corrective/preventive action plans
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing methods
  • Communicate with customers regarding product specifications, design changes, and technical solutions
  • Apply statistical analysis to forecast and improve manufacturing performance



Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding manufacturing environments
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting molding processes and resolving production defects
  • In-depth knowledge of injection molding presses (hydraulic and electric), molds, and auxiliary equipment (dryers, blenders, loaders, hot runners, sprue pickers)
  • Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes within budget and timeline constraints
  • Familiarity with common thermoplastics such as Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, ABS, and Nylon
  • Strong understanding of process optimization, validation, and continuous improvement methodologies


Preferred Qualifications



  • RJG Master Molder Certification or equivalent
  • Experience with EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) and six-axis robot programming
  • Background in advanced automation and integrated manufacturing systems
