About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in our logistics operations, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately processed, properly identified, and efficiently distributed.

This position is based at our Chicago facility, where we manufacture rolled ring die forgings for the aerospace industry. The site employs approximately 60 team members and generates $30-40 million in annual revenue, with a strong reputation for quality and long-standing customer partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers efficiently.
  • Stock inventory in designated areas of the facility.
  • Operate ERP systems and other warehouse equipment to fulfill orders accurately.
  • Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring all records are complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with team members and schedules to ensure timely job completion for in-house operations and outside process operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities of products.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contact suppliers for product status and estimated shipment dates.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including order picking and fulfillment.
  • Ability to operate basic part marking equipment (e.g., bar codes, scribing tools, laser marking machine, dot peen, ink stamping, and electro-chemical etching).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage of $18.00 per hour. Expected weekly hours: 40-50. We offer a competitive benefit package, 401(k) profit sharing, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.

The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements, among other factors.
