Position Purpose The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for driving the financial strategy, planning, analysis, and reporting across multiple channels at Petco, including retail stores and eCommerce. Works in partnership with senior merchandising leadership (SVP's/VP's) to provide strategic and analytical leadership supporting sales, margin, expenses, and other KPI's to drive results, identify risks, and deliver our committed financial goals. Helps to create and manage the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes in partnership with the merchandise and planning teams. Provides ad hoc financial analysis to support Sr. Leadership and works cross functionally with Merchants, Planners, Inventory and Consumer analytical teams to analyze performance issues, develop actionable insights, and provide recommendations. Leads and develops a team that will support our business partners and drive continuous improvement. Education/Experience
Nature of Supervision: Overall direction is provided on major project work. Minimal supervision is given to determine priorities and set annual business goals. Supervisory Responsibility: Directly supervise managers and senior level analysts and indirectly manage lower level analysts to include interviewing, hiring, training, assignment delegation and follow through, performance review and disciplinary action including termination when necessary. Work Environment The majority of job duties are conducted while seated indoors at a computer terminal, with little or no exposure to hazards. The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
