Military SIOP Materials Leader (SSO Division - Irvine, CA)

Position Summary

This role is a Senior Position with focus on the Aftermarket Military SIOP and will be the accountable leader for Aftermarket Military demand planning and SIOP governance across the Aerospace Group organization. This role owns the monthly demand review and SIOP cadence, drives forecast integrity and reconciliation, and partners cross-functionally with Sales, Programs/Contracts, Manufacturing/Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align demand, supply, and financial commitments.

The person in this role is expected to develop and maintains a 24-36 month rolling demand plan for spares and repair, establishes KPI-driven management routines, and leads continuous improvement projects to improve customer experience and optimize inventory levels within an export-controlled, defense-compliant environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the monthly demand review for All Military Aerospace Divisions. Drive disciplined inputs, assumptions, and sign-off across stakeholders.
  • Own the end-to-end SIOP cadence (demand, supply, and reconciliation) including standard work, decision rights, escalation paths, and executive-level alignment.
  • Establish and maintain a 24-36 month rolling demand plan (spares/repair), incorporating program intelligence, contract/award timing, installed base signals, repair turns, and customer priorities.
  • Drive governance for frozen-window management, change control, and scenario planning to improve plan stability and execution.
  • Establish processes, create tools, and endure data governance for the Military Aftermarket.
  • Lead demand reconciliation MPS across multiple Division stakeholders, including Sales, Programs/Contracts, Customer Service, and Operations, resolving gaps between forecast, orders, backlog, and program expectations.
  • Partner with ERP/MRP stakeholders to ensure demand signals and master data support reliable planning outputs.
  • Accountable to Division stakeholders for the 'Voice of the Customer' ensuring one aligned operating plan.
  • Translate SIOP outcomes into actionable priorities for supply planning, capacity/constraint management, and customer commitment strategies.
  • Proactively identify risks (material constraints, long-lead exposure, capacity limits, obsolescence) and drive cross-functional mitigation plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen SIOP governance, forecast effectiveness, and demand-to-supply execution (standard work, visual management, waste elimination).
  • Supervises the day-to-day activities in material management to ensure inventory levels and material flow meets current and future production needs.
  • Monitors the material storage and space utilization and makes recommendations
  • Responsible for the balance of inventory levels and updated system integrity to maintain proper information.
  • Partners with Divisional partners to maintain satisfactory customer service levels
  • May supervise other team members and prioritize team member tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading monthly demand reviews and an SIOP/S&OP cadence, including governance, executive communication, and cross-functional alignment.
  • 6+ Years progressive experience required. Minimum of 4 years SIOP (or S&OP) expertise, plus planning/materials management experience.
  • Strong analytical capability and KPI-based operating discipline (advanced Excel; dashboarding/BI experience preferred).
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP concepts and data dependencies; experience improving planning performance through master data and process controls (e.g., SAP or similar).
  • Proven ability to influence across functions and levels; strong facilitation, communication, and change leadership skills.
  • Well versed in Military and Defense contracts with a good understanding of DCMA and FAR requirements.
  • Demand planning platform experience; Logility strongly preferred.

  • Pay Range: $100300 to $166900 annually
