Summary/ Objective:
Performs and directs a variety of tasks in support of warehousing functions which include but are not limited to: shipping, receiving, delivery, and wire cutting with a focus on quality, productivity, output and customer service standards.
Work Hours: Mondayriday, 1:00 p.m. until production is completed, with occasional Saturday work. Must be flexible and available to work other shifts if needed.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for preparing, picking, cutting wire, packing, staging, and shipping of material in a timely and accurate manner
Receive and put away material within 24 hours, dock to stock
Maintain inventory integrity, to include inventory accuracy and minimal shrink
Plan and allocate labor across different work areas to ensure timely completion of workload
Communicate expectations to team
Maintain an organized work area
Maintain high customer service levels
Measure and address the effectiveness and productivity of direct reports
Monitor and address accuracy of work performed by direct reports
Oversee disciplinary issues, attendance, and performance of direct reports
Resolve problems and answer questions
Participate in hiring and onboarding process
Evaluate and conduct annual performance evaluations
Answer communication regarding your area within 24 hours
Verify the work done in your area of responsibility is performed correctly and in accordance with existing Work Instructions.
Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the work performed in your area.
Oversee safety activities to include ensuring compliance with safety policy and ensuring employee training is conducted.
Supervise the warehouse team and provide training and coaching to improve performance
Make recommendations for additional headcount, as needed
Competencies:
Hands-on dedication to training team members and championing new ideas
Efficient supervisory techniques and skills
A strong background in warehouse operations including, shipping, receiving, delivery and inventory control
Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft office and Warehouse Management Systems.
Ability to manage a team of warehouse associates in a dynamic environment, shifting workloads to the needs of the operation.

Work Environment:
This job operates primarily in warehouse environment. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are present in the warehouse. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have:
the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, push/pull) weight up to 75lbs unassisted
The ability to climb a ladder
The ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and various warehousing machinery/tools
Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently
Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Travel:
Occasional traveling to other Distribution Centers and branches may be required.
Clearances and Certifications:
Various clearances will be required
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Forklift certified or the ability to become Forklift Certified is required
Education and Experience:
3+ years of warehouse management or manufacturing supervisory experience (preferred).
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
