The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality standard, and safety compliance while managing floor staff. Key duties include scheduling workflows, training employees, troubleshooting machinery, and achieving production goals.

Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities:



  • Works with all functions within the organization to drive continuous improvement and establish a culture of excellence in execution, and communication
  • Recognizes and solves problems affecting operations in order to improve the performance and quality of services.
  • Responsible for planning and maintaining schedules, directing the work of employees and training.
  • Provides direction, coaching, counseling, and leadership to all direct reports to motivate employees.
  • Improves performance, enhances service quality and heightens employee effectiveness.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and must rely on experience to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for possessing a general understanding of all areas within the organization and the ability to work with the experts within those areas.
  • Leads a production team to meet and exceed targets related to People, Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Coordinates production activities with purchasing, maintenance/facilities, engineering, and quality control to optimize team members, schedules, and production equipment.
  • Engages with engineering team to utilize capacity models and assess constraints as projected demand changes
  • Performs administrative duties such as regular employee meetings, timekeeping/attendance/vacation requests, performance appraisals (input with manager), disciplinary actions, interviewing, rewards & recognition, training and development.
  • Manages Production and Deliveries to target levels
  • Establish a culture of excellence in execution, continuous improvement, and communication
  • Assists Production Manager by providing data and analysis on production, quality control, maintenance, and operational issues to determine causes of non-conformities
  • Ensures compliance to the training plans, procedures, and industry regulations
  • Supports and drive lean principles throughout the manufacturing floor
  • Maintain safe operating environment


Education & Experience



  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Minimum of 2 -3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Previous management / supervisory experience preferred
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to anticipate potential problems, both internal and external, to the specific department(s) being supervised

Salary Range (annual): $80,000 - $99,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
