Purpose of the role

Play an integral role in delivering one of the most complex pipeline construction programs in North America. Worley is seeking an experienced Environmental Field Team Manager to provide senior, onsite environmental leadership supporting construction for an approximately 800mile, FERCregulated natural gas pipeline executed across four concurrent construction spreads over a multiyear period.

The role is responsible for ensuring consistent, defensible, and auditready implementation of all applicable FERC Certificate conditions, federal and state permits, and projectspecific environmental plans throughout construction. This position serves as the primary onsite environmental interface between Worley, EPCm construction teams, the Owner, and regulatory agencies, helping to integrate environmental controls into daily field execution and reduce project risk.

This is full-time project, specific position (4-year Duration), based in Anchorage, Alaska with frequent travel to active construction spreads and remote field camps.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental field leadership

• Provide senior leadership and oversight of Worley's fieldbased environmental organization supporting construction activities across all pipeline spreads.
• Guide and coordinate environmental field personnel, including Spread Environmental Leads, Wildlife Clearance Monitors, and Watercourse/Wetland Specialists.
• Establish clear roles, decision authority, and escalation pathways across geographically dispersed teams.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of environmental requirements across all construction spreads.

Regulatory and permit implementation

• Oversee field execution of all relevant FERC Certificate conditions, Environmental Conditions, and constructionphase Plans and Procedures.
• Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local permits and approvals, including but not limited to:
  • Clean Water Act (Sections 404/401)
  • Endangered Species Act
  • Alaska Department of Fish & Game habitat authorizations
  • Stormwater, dewatering, and wastewater permits
  • Cultural resource protection requirements
• Serve as the senior field authority for permit interpretation, constructability constraints, and environmental risk management during construction.

Construction environmental management

• Lead execution of projectspecific environmental programs and plans, including:
  • Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP)
  • Spill Prevention and Response Plans
  • SWPPP and erosion/sediment control programs
  • Wildlife protection and speciesspecific mitigation measures
  • Waterbody and wetland crossing requirements
• Partner closely with EPCm and construction leadership to integrate environmental controls into daily work planning, sequencing, and field activities.

Monitoring, inspections, and issue resolution

• Oversee environmental field monitoring and inspection coverage across all construction spreads.
• Review and manage environmental nonconformance reports, corrective actions, and trend analysis.
• Act as the primary escalation point for environmental issues requiring engagement by project leadership, the Owner, or regulatory agencies.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits, including preparation, field participation, and followup documentation.

Training, mentorship, and continuous improvement

• Ensure construction contractors and field staff receive appropriate environmental training and sitespecific orientation.
• Mentor environmental field leads and specialists to support consistent performance and professional development.
• Promote a proactive, preventionfocused environmental culture across construction teams.

Reporting and coordination

• Provide regular status updates to Worley leadership and the Owner on environmental performance, emerging risks, and resource needs.
• Support preparation of regulatory filings, compliance documentation, and responses to agency inquiries as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive environmental experience supporting largescale linear infrastructure or energy projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading environmental field teams on multispread pipeline construction projects.
• Extensive working knowledge of FERCregulated pipeline construction and constructionphase environmental expectations.
• Strong understanding of NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and construction environmental controls.
• Proven ability to work effectively in remote, logistically complex environments.
• Willingness and ability to be based in Anchorage, Alaska for the duration of the project with frequent field travel.

• Experience coordinating environmental requirements across multiple contractors and inspection teams.
• Familiarity with Arctic or subArctic construction conditions, remote camps, and seasonal constraints.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and enforcement avoidance strategies.
