Business Analyst (Closing & Due Diligence Officer)

Responsibilities

Transaction & Closing Support

  • Prepare and maintain complete closing files for each loan transaction.
  • Establish and manage data sites for all transaction working parties.
  • Coordinate loan documentation and execution, including scheduling and tracking signatures.


Third Party Due Diligence Coordination

  • Engage and manage all third party vendors related to loan transactions, including appraisal, engineering, environmental, insurance, zoning, and lease abstraction providers.
  • Order and track KYC searches and flood certificates.
  • Review tenant estoppels for consistency with leases and lease abstracts.


Closing & Administrative Oversight

  • Compile third party vendor invoices and confirm wiring instructions for escrow payments prior to loan closing.
  • Maintain and update an active pipeline of loans in the closing process.
  • Update internal loan systems throughout each stage of the closing process, including deposits and funding milestones.


Internal Coordination & Post Closing Support

  • Support post closing requests from Servicing and Data Analytics teams, including follow up due diligence items.
  • Assist the Capital Markets team by uploading required diligence and documentation to line lenders and repo facilities.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates strong independent judgment, decision making ability, and attention to detail.
  • Self motivated, proactive, and persistent with a hands on work style.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of commercial real estate investment or transaction experience.
  • Commercial loan closing experience preferred.
  • Paralegal background and active notary public commission preferred, or willingness to obtain.
