What to Expect
As a Material Handler, you will support the Product Distribution Warehouse within the Service Operations. This individual will be held responsible for understanding and adhering to all warehouse processes, inventory accuracy improvements, and general operational checks and balances of our global parts distribution operations. If you have a strong work ethic, are reliable and value teamwork in a safety-focused environment we want to hear from you. Tesla will provide forklift training & certification.

What You'll Do
  • Accurately pick, scan, label, pack, audit, palletize, wrap, strap, and prepare outgoing materials for shipment using various methods and equipment to ensure secure and efficient transport
  • Assemble crates/containers and stage materials for loading onto delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor systems, or other transport methods
  • Complete and process required documentation, including Inter-company Bills of Lading, to support compliant global parts distribution
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to input, retrieve, update, and maintain real-time inventory accuracy and parts data
  • Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory in correct bin locations while contributing to ongoing accuracy improvements and 5S standards
  • Perform general housekeeping to keep the work area clean, safe, and organized in alignment with Tesla safety and operational protocols
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts with provided training/certification, tuggers, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, etc.) to load/unload, move, and transport materials between warehouse areas, production floors, and vehicles while strictly following all safety guidelines

What You'll Bring
  • Previous material handling experience within a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or comparable environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new work environments
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Open to scheduleflexibility thatwill allow for a variety of shifts, including days, nights,overnight, and/or weekends as neededas well as potential overtime
  • Comfortable driving and operating safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and flatbed carts
  • Successful completion of the hands-on forklift certification during new hire training and maintaining certification throughout employment
  • Ability to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment. Maintains exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift andreach to install vehicle partsof varying size and weight overhead, accurately andin allotted timeframes
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch,twistand crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, andhearing
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintaining ability throughout employment
  • Exposuresto hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limitedtosafety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps,hearing protection, full-face respirators, gloves,and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

    Expected Compensation
    • Material Handler - $20.70 - $20.70/hour
    + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
