Customs Specialist II *Drive Global Trade Compliance. Influence Outcomes. Make an Impact.*
*Job Summary* Are you passionate about global trade and customs compliance? As a Customs Specialist II, you'll apply your broad knowledge of international trade regulations to facilitate compliant, efficient import and export activity across regions and borders. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and support financial objectives-all while helping shape bestinclass trade processes. If you enjoy navigating complex regulations, influencing crossfunctional teams, and playing a key role in global operations, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact. *What You'll Do* You'll be a hands-on contributor with growing influence across the organization, responsible for both tactical execution and continuous improvement. Core Responsibilities * Execute critical trade operations including HTS classification, broker management, and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) administration. * Manage trade communications by monitoring and responding to internal and external inquiries via a centralized compliance inbox. * Support duty mitigation strategies by assisting with qualification verification for preferential trade and trade agreement programs. * Guide cross-functional teams by providing trade-related expertise and influencing informed decision-making. * Participate in compliance audits to ensure adherence to customs and regulatory requirements. * Improve processes by contributing to the development and enhancement of procedures and SOPs. * Prepare and review post-entry documentation to support accuracy and compliance. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support evolving business needs. *What You Bring* You're detail-oriented, compliance-focused, and eager to grow your expertise in global trade. *Required Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience * Typically 2-4 years of professional experience in customs, trade, or a related field * Working proficiency with systems, tools, and procedures required to perform the role *Preferred Qualifications* * Bachelor's or advanced degree * Professional certifications a plus (e.g., U.S. Customs Broker License, Lean, Six Sigma) *Technical Knowledge & Developing Expertise* * Duty savings and tariff mitigation strategies * Tariff classification and customs valuation * Import/export compliance and admissibility * Country of Origin determination * Free Trade Agreements and Trade Preference Programs * Trusted Trader Programs * Compliance reviews, manuals, audits, and procedures * Intellectual property considerations * Foreign Trade Zones and bonded warehouses * Engagement with Customs officials * Trade legislation, policy, and regulatory interpretation * World Trade Organization (WTO) and World Customs Organization (WCO) rules *Why This Role Matters* In this role, you're not just ensuring compliance-you're enabling global business success.
