Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage starting at $27/hr. +, depending on experience and qualifications. What You'll Do:
- Assemble, install, and test mechanical seals, gaskets, and related components across a variety of systems
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of sealing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair defective seals, identifying root causes of failures
- Measure, prepare, and fit seals using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Operate and utilize equipment such as lathes, surface grinders, lapping tools, and test fixtures for seal repair and reconditioning
- Document service work, including test results, repairs performed, and inspection findings
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve seal performance and overall system efficiency
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations when working with machinery, chemicals, and hazardous materials
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on seal technologies, materials, and industry best practices
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or training in a related field is preferred
- 1-3+ years of experience working with mechanical seals, hydraulic systems, or related mechanical components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools and seal repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel for on-site repairs or installations, as needed
