Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an Environmental Planning Intern to support environmental projects in our Charleston, SC or Lexington, SC offices.

Responsibilities include assisting environmental planners and engineers with environmental projects; assisting with data collection, environmental documentation, and technical reports; and supporting environmental analysis, research, and permitting-related tasks.

A valid driver's license and travel will be required.

Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in environmental science, environmental engineering, natural resources, biology, environmental planning, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Environmental coursework (e.g., environmental science, biology, ecology, environmental planning, or related fields)
  • Field data collection or environmental field work
  • Technical writing or report preparation
  • Data analysis and research
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software programs
  • Familiarity with GIS, environmental databases, or environmental regulations (preferred, but not required)
