Advanced Practice Provider Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Clinic

Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for outpatient cardiac surgery consults, pre-op optimization and post op clinic visits. Primarily located at Ahuja medical center, Chagrin Highlands, and occasional coverage at Lake West. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8 hour shifts. APP experience required and cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family
• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
