Description Maine Medical CenterPortland, ME ApprenticeRTs are Per Diem roles Flexible shifts and hours for Student RTs to work around your school schedule! Summary: TheStudent- Respiratory Therapy role is matriculated as afreshmanin an approvedAssociate'sDegree program for Respiratory Therapy and mustmaintainpassing grades and attendance requirements. The Apprentice works under the direction of a Respiratory Therapist and performs multiple duties that require anexpertisein the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment in addition to performing electrocardiograms. The Apprenticeis responsible formaintainingan appropriate levelof equipment in the various respiratory work areas andassistingthe Respiratory Therapists with various procedures and tasks, as directed.
