As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a customer-focused experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services location.
• Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, watching for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with location procedures.
• Complete routine reports and required logs, report maintenance concerns and policy issues to the appropriate contact, and communicate status updates to supervisors and/or local management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
