Salesforce Professional Services is hiring Solution Architects to join the Missionforce team. As a Solution Architect, you will provide steady architectural leadership across large and complex engagements and partner with executive and delivery stakeholders to co-create and execute solution visions for our most complex customers in the Defense & National Security space. The Solution Architect serves as a hands-on advisor combining Salesforce platform expertise, industry knowledge, and consulting acumen to design and deliver scalable, mission-aligned solutions.

The Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect is a dual-impact leader across presales and delivery, responsible for shaping, scoping, and aligning complex engagements to position federal customers for long-term success as a trusted advisor.. This role drives architectural strategy from initial solutioning through execution, ensuring mission-critical programs are set up to deliver measurable outcomes. They provide and are accountable for architectural integrity, executive alignment, and elevate solution quality while cultivating a high-performance culture across the team. As stewards of the Professional Services Methodology, they leverage cross-functional networks to enforce best practices, scale delivery excellence, and ensure consistency across MissionForce engagements.

Your Impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client

  • Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; serve as an active contributor to the community's overall knowledge base and expertise

  • Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value

  • Work collaboratively and having very strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking across various levels of a client organization

  • Identify and proactively manage risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution

  • Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners

  • Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward

  • Drive a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies to enable technologies including the Salesforce platform

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture or consulting experience on the Salesforce Platform throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success

  • Expert in Salesforce configuration and architectural strategy, translating current-state complexity into clear target-state designs, closing capability gaps, and delivering solutions that enable achievement of critical business and mission outcomes.

  • Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories and providing detailed system and functional designs

  • Experience in documenting business processes and wire-framing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs

  • Strong presentation skills; able to effectively present a point of view and clearly articulate the rationale to a variety of stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience

  • A great listener with the ability to connect with people in diverse roles

  • Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems

Preferred Requirements

  • Must be Metro DC located

  • Active Secret level security clearance required

  • Multiple Salesforce Core Architecture certifications

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • Experience in public sector digital transformation initiatives

  • Hands-on experience with Public Sector Solutions ("Agentforce Public Sector")

  • Hands-on experience with Omni Studio

  • Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organization

  • Application design and development background

  • Travel may be required and varies depending on the client requirements

  • Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation and your obtaining and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance required for this role. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.
