Role Snapshot
Our QMS Manager collaborates with senior leadership on the development and implementation of an integrated quality strategy that drives operational excellence across the division. Responsible for strengthening the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet CMS, ISO, and other regulatory standards, the role leads process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing performance and regulatory readiness. This QMS Manager directs the Quality Assurance department, ensuring consistent quality outcomes through audits, reviews, and performance evaluations. They serve as a central driver of continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness.

Salary Range
$100,000 ~ $120,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may fall outside of this range.

**Employees living within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI) will be expected to be able to work Hybrid 2 days a week on a regular basis.

  • Can ensure alignment of the QMS with ISO 9001, CMS regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and organizational quality priorities.
  • Enjoy overseeing the operational execution, maintenance, and continual evaluation of core QMS processes, including document control, CAPA, SLAs, and performance measurement systems, ensuring compliance with ISO, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
  • Can lead the Quality Assurance (QA) Department, directing QA/QC functions to meet CMS, contractual, and organizational quality expectations.
  • Have managed the execution of QA/QC activities, including audits, work-product reviews, focused evaluations, and quality monitoring to ensure consistent and effective quality outcomes.
  • Like to drive QMS improvement initiatives, including operational efficiency, workflow optimization, automation, and modernization of quality systems to enhance performance and maintain ISO and CMS compliance.
  • Can analyze and report on quality performance data, including QMS metrics, audit trends, regulatory indicators, and operational results to support leadership decision-making and ensure regulatory oversight.
  • Want to serve as the primary liaison with shared services, operational divisions, CMS-facing teams, and external auditors (e.g., ISO registrars) on audit readiness, certification requirements, performance thresholds, and regulatory obligations.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 or more years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance.
  • 3 or more years in a senior level or managerial role.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification and QMS Auditor certification required; Lead QMS Auditor training and certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS in service-based, regulated environments (e.g., healthcare), including governance and certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build partnerships with senior leaders, guide teams, and collaborate with stakeholders and auditors.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance and control practices, audits, work-product reviews, and compliance monitoring that includes:

    • Familiarity with CMS/Medicare program requirements or relevant regulatory frameworks.
    • Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, trend analysis, and root cause identification.
    • Experience designing and implementing quality training programs.
    • Ability to lead complex quality improvement projects with measurable ROI, including digital system transitions and workflow optimization.
