JOB SUMMARY
|
This position will receive labels into physical inventory and distributes to production lines as required by product needs. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
|
RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Ensure that all labels received are inspected and verified to be correct, of good quality, and proper size. Complete necessary paperwork for receiving labels.
- Cut labels to proper size if not received as such.
- Ensure that shipments of labels to another facility are packaged properly and neatly and include appropriate paperwork.
- Distribute labels to production lines as directed by daily run lists.
- Return all unused labels back into physical inventory.
- Provide samples of new customer and/or modified labels to the Packaging supervisor, Customer Service, sample person, and Scheduling.
- Report all label shortages, overages, and quality or quantity problems to the Packaging supervisor.
- Keep label racks and area clean and neat at all times.
- Cycle count label inventory as directed by the auditing department.
- Perform other duties, as required by supervision

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
|
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Basic math and writing skills are necessary to complete required paperwork
- Must obtain a Red Gold class "C" forklift license as a minimum requirement
|

- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to climb up and down stairs repetitively
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to be on feet during the workday
- Good communication skills - written and verbal

- Personable, even- tempered, easy to get along with
- Follows directions well
- Work as a team player
- Be flexible in shift assignments
- On The Job Training: If employee is presently a member of the packaging department, he/she must have completed the packaging department training program. When dealing with a new hire or an employee transferring from another department, he/she will be required to complete the packaging department training program followed by several hours of O.J.T. within the first 30 days of hire date or transfer date.

- Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements
