General Summary
McLean Hospital, America's top ranked freestanding psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a full-time (40 hours/week) Staff Psychologist in the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP) within the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry Department at McLean Hospital, located in Cambridge, MA. The position will include a concurrent faculty appointment as an Instructor in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. MAMP is an intensive, group-based outpatient treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, mood, and obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD). Ideal candidates will have experience in providing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with an emphasis on exposure with response prevention (ERP) to children and adolescents. Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts license. Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university or school of psychology Current licensure (or license eligible) in Massachusetts Completion of an APA-accredited internship Postdoctoral experience in a related field (strongly preferred) Clinical psychology expertise and practice Expertise in CBT integrating exposure work, both theory and practice Experience providing CBT treatment to adolescents and families (strongly preferred) Familiarity with complementary evidence-based treatments such as ACT, SPACE, behavioral parent training models, and/or DBT Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Staff Psychologist will be responsible for administering care within the intensive outpatient structure, including: Conducting comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluations Co-leading group-based CBT emphasizing ERP Delivering weekly family-based psychotherapy sessions Co-leading psychoeducation groups Coordinating treatment planning for patients in partnership with our interdisciplinary team Providing clinical services for all assigned patients and participating in the activities of the program Mentoring, teaching, and training doctoral student trainees Contributing to the program's intervention research Participating in professional development activities throughout the hospital and medical school, including committees, teaching, and research Applicants should submit a letter of interest and curriculum vitae along with the names and addresses of three references by email to: R.
