OUR TEAM

The IVD Product Finishing team is at the heart of getting life-science products ready to make a difference in the world. We handle the full range of dispensing and kitting operations - running both manual and automated processes - to ensure every product that leaves our department meets Promega's high standards for quality and precision. YOUR ROLE

As a Technician 1 in IVD Product Finishing, you'll be a key operator on our production floor - setting up and running dispensing and kitting equipment, assembling components with care and accuracy, and maintaining thorough documentation in batch records. You'll work closely with teammates and cross-functional partners to keep production moving smoothly, flag quality issues when they arise, and follow contamination prevention and safety protocols every step of the way. This role is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and energized by hands-on production work. You'll also have the opportunity to grow alongside the team as we expand into new production capabilities and continue integrating technology into our day-to-day operations.

CORE DUTIES:

1. Setup, operate and maintain manual and automated dispensing/kitting equipment.

2. Pulls products from inventory and assemble components into kits and kit sub-assemblies using quality system documents, including kit packaging diagrams (KPDs).

3. Accurately completes all required written documentation for batch records, using good documentation practices.

4. Reports quality issues and non-conformances to area supervisor in a timely manner.

5. Follows contamination prevention procedures including cleaning production areas and equipment.

6. Works in a team environment, both within the department and when collaborating with other departments.

7. Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.

8. Embracing and being open to incorporating Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role.

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain constructive working relationships.

3. Ability to work quickly and accurately.

4. Strong attention to detail.

5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time.

6. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

7. Competency in general math.

8. Self-motivated and positive approach to work.

9. Dependable and reliable.

10. Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Prior experience in a production environment.

2. Experience working in an ISO 9000 or cGMP environment.

3. Computer experience in ERP System such as SAP.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.

2. Ability to move around throughout the day.

3. Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout shift.

4. Visual acuity for quality inspections.

5. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50-70 lbs. occasionally.

6. Ability to move up to 500 lbs. on a dolly and 1,500 lbs. on a pallet jack occasionally.

7. Ability to wear all forms of PPE, depending on activities being performed.

8. Ability to work in an Environmental Control Room (ECR) environment.
