Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Driving Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an armed, driving post Security Officer in a residential community, you will patrol assigned areas by vehicle and on foot, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with residents and site contacts, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document actions taken according to post orders.
• Control access at gates, entrances, and/or amenity areas by checking authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and reporting suspicious behavior per site guidelines.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
