Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL)is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the enterprise technology and information strategy for the organization to deliver superior IT solutions to internal customers and Government partners. This position reports to SDL's President. SDL's Director of Information Systems oversees all information systems, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities:
- Develops a clear vision for the future of information system policies, practices, and resources
- Creates and translates SDL's business strategy into clear information system objectives and action plans that drive efficiency, process improvement, and readiness for the future
- Leads and/or supports organization development initiatives and practices
- Demonstrates leadership qualities that serve as a model for SDL leaders encouraging openness, approachability, and mutual respect among team members
- Conveys a commitment to understanding what is best for key stakeholders including the lab, employees, customers, and other key constituencies such as Utah State University
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (masters preferred) in a related field with 15+ years of related experience and 10+ years of supervisory experience
- Proven leadership, management, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking abilities to identify, evaluate, and address short- and long-term challenges and opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to inspire collaboration within and outside of a group, encourage alternate solutions, and properly manage risk and reward
- Advanced knowledge of change management principles and implementation approaches
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and teams
- Must be creative with strong problem-solving abilities that promote win-win outcomes
- Must have a credible executive image demonstrated by polish, poise, and approachability
- Must have a reputation for preserving relationships even under difficult or challenging circumstances
- Demonstrated strong work ethic
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- hold an active U.S. Governmentsecurity clearance
- Experience in aerospace industry
*Salary Range
- $190,000 - $300,000
- Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience
