GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Manager - Practice Systems Integration supports the execution of enterprise EHR and clinical systems strategy across newly acquired practices. This role leads complex system integrations, drives standardization of workflows, and ensures clinical and operational technologies are effectively implemented and optimized during acquisitions.

Operating as a senior subject matter expert, this position partners cross-functionally with IT, Clinical Leadership, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors to ensure seamless system performance, interoperability, and adoption. The Senior Manager plays a key leadership role in translating enterprise standards into practical implementation plans while maintaining clinical usability and operational continuity.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead execution of EHR and clinical system integrations for newly acquired practices.
  • Partner with the Director to implement enterprise system standards, workflows, and governance models.
  • Oversee configuration and optimization of EHR templates, documentation tools, and workflow design.
  • Ensure interoperability between EHR, practice management, diagnostic equipment, billing systems, imaging platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Coordinate system migrations, data validation, and testing during acquisitions and upgrades.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex integration and workflow issues.
  • Partner with IT and vendors to resolve technical challenges and maintain system stability.
  • Drive adoption of standardized workflows while balancing provider experience and clinical efficiency.
  • Support role-based access governance, audit readiness, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop documentation, integration playbooks, and training materials to support scalable growth.
  • Lead cross-functional integration meetings and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within scope.
  • Provide reporting and updates on integration performance, risks, and optimization opportunities.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • 7+ years of experience with EHR, Practice Management Systems, and clinical technology platforms
  • Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise healthcare environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex system implementations or integrations
  • Strong working knowledge of interoperability, workflow optimization, and clinical documentation standards
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 35%


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions
  • Optometry or ophthalmology practice experience
  • Clinical or patient care background
  • Retail optical experience
