TheConstruction Engineering Services Practice is seeking a Construction InspectorinCoeur d'Alene,ID.

In thisposition,you will provideon-site constructioninspectionsand applicable documentation for transportation projects. This includes observation of construction work activities for compliance with plans and specifications, preparation of required contract documentation, and following prescribed Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures consistent with State and Local guidelines.

This role will be based out of Coeurd'Alene,IDandtypicallyworksa 40hour, Monday-Friday schedule, with most time spent in the field and occasional office work as needed. Standard hours are around 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but actual hours and shifts may vary based on contractor schedules and project needs. Evening or weekend work may berequired, and we aim to provide advance notice whenever possible.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, perform, and/or supervise technical engineering work in
    the field.
  • Inspect,observe,andensure thata construction project is constructed in
    accordance with contract plans and specifications.
  • Maintainaccuratedailywork reports(labor, equipment, materials, quantities).
  • Identifycontract changes andassistin preparation of change orders.
  • Communicate effectively with the Contractors, Owners, Construction Manager, Project Engineer, or other field staff.
  • Preparepay item reportsfor progress payments.
  • Coordinatetherequiredmaterials,samples,and testing.
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively with client representatives, contractors, the public, as well as peers and subordinates.
  • Excellent skills in working independentlyin the field.
  • The successful candidate must be able to effectively multitask and prioritize and track construction issuesthroughcompletion.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record,requiredfor field assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-3years of construction inspection experience workingon roadways,bridges,and highway projects.
  • General contracting experience.
  • ITDproject experience(ODOT and WSDOTare alsoconsidered).
  • ITDInspector Certifications(ODOT and WSDOTare alsoconsidered).
  • Experience inspecting Federally funded projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, general contracting experience, or an engineering degree.
