Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes. Collects empty cylinders from customers. Addresses customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction. Conducts pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance. Presents a professional appearance and upkeeps the vehicle's condition

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cylinder Handling:Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.

  • Record Keeping:Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.

  • Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.

  • Warehouse Support:Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL

  • Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment).

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.

  • In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.

  • Must be at least 21 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • Forklift Experience

    • Touch freight delivery experience
