Job Description
The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by administering and maintaining high performance, reliable local area networks (LANs), and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Administrator will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links between all our locations. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. This position is based in Dallas, TX at the Corporate Office.
Responsibilities
Collaborate within the IT division to define, implement, and support all LAN, WLAN, and remote access methods for individual devices connecting to the Omni Hotels' data network.
- Support business products and applications through the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the specific IT infrastructure components.
- Research products and services that will allow Omni Hotels to remain secure, while growing to meet current and future needs.
- Implement and support SIP & VOIP services
- Deep technical skills in key areas of infrastructure (systems, networking, security, storage, etc.)
- Perform Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Maintenance to insure system uptime. Pro-active in finding potential problems and escalating to the Network Engineer and technology leadership.
- Responsible for adds, moves and changes of network gear and provides documentation for any such change.
- First level escalation point for network related issues.
- Respond to escalations from the field support and corporate service desk teams.
- Work closely with client/application engineers, senior managers, and project managers to design and assist with the implementation of the solutions infrastructure related components.
- Administration of Routers, Switches and Firewalls.
- Define, configure, and support multiple VPN configurations. Inclusive of vendor access for support purposes.
- Manage communication for network services including outages, configuration changes, and maintenance schedules
- Hands-on experience with SDWAN and Cloud networking.
- Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
- Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-FI and security infrastructure
- Ability to support several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
- Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology
Qualifications
- 4 Years of experience with networking, datacenter, voice applications, and implementation.
- Hospitality experience is preferred.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.
- Experience in the following area's preferred:
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, QoS. IP Routing Platforms: ISRg2 and ASR1K.
- VoIP configuration
- Site 2 Site IPsec VPN
- Advance knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and various network services.
- Kemp Load Balancer experience
- Cisco iOS. Switches, Firepower, ASAs
- Meraki SDWAN
- Azure networking
- Ruckus Wireless
- HP and Aruba switches
- Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to communicate in a way that is understandable by non-technical parties.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented role in hospitality industry
- Ability to work in a team environment yet work independently with minimum supervision.
