Waste Connections has an opportunity for a Mobile App Testing & Support Analyst at our corporate office in the Woodlands, Texas!

In this role, you will ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for endtoend testing, issue triage, user support, release validation, and ongoing monitoring of app health.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a passion for mobile technology, hands-on QA experience, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing on iOS, Android, and web version of the application - Execute test cases, maintain test plans, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Document issues with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and severity ratings. Maintain accurate documentation of test results and known issues
  • Support users in the field who experience issues with the app as front-line support and troubleshooting. Communicate resolutions, workarounds, and timelines to stakeholders with clarity
  • Create userfriendly guides, FAQs, and internal knowledge base articles
  • Work closely with the team to communicate issue trends or suggest improvements
  • Participate in release planning, UAT cycles, and postrelease validation
  • Monitor app analytics, crash reports, and performance metrics (e.g., Firebase, App Store / Play Store console)

Desired skills/interests

  • 2+ years of experience in mobile app QA, support analysis, or a related role
  • Handson experience testing iOS and/or Android applications, as well as web applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, GitHub Actions, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical issues into clear, actionable information for nontechnical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Swagger, Postman, or similar API testing tools.
  • Experience with beta/preview testing programs (TestFlight, Google Play Internal Testing).
  • Background in customer support or field support environments.
