Job Description

Hybrid-based position in our Tampa, FL or Atlanta, GA office.

Your new role

As a new Environmental Due Diligence Consultant, you will be part of a dynamic team providing state-of-the-art scientific, technical, and strategic risk management assistance to an international client base. You will split your time between office-based work, including reviewing project-related materials and writing reports, and site visits (including some local/regional travel). A hybrid work schedule can be negotiated.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Environmental due diligence assessments for industrial and commercial merger & acquisition (M&A) transactions, including standard Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards and custom reports tailored to client-specific needs.
  • Environmental, health and safety compliance reviews for industrial facilities, primarily (but not exclusively) in the Southeastern U.S.
  • Preparation of concise reports that assess potential environmental liabilities and compliance at

    manufacturing/commercial facilities.
  • General environmental compliance support to clients across a variety of regulatory program areas, including hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater discharges, air emissions, chemical/spill prevention, and community right-to-know regulations.
  • Travel to industrial and commercial facilities for site visits (typically one day in duration), including both local and non-local travel.
Qualifications

  • These include:

    B.S. or M.S. in Environmental, Chemical, or other related Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science.
  • 2+ years of experience related to environmental due diligence.
  • Experience with or interest in environmental regulatory compliance assessments, and environmental permitting and reporting.
  • An understanding of chemical/petroleum contamination, including chemical transport in the environment.
  • Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations.

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:

  • Strong technical, analytical, and research abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate scientific issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments, prioritizing and delegating activities, and delivering on tight deadlines.
  • Interest in solving the most challenging environmental, health, and safety problems of our clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time (must have a driver's license in good standing.

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $69,000-$80,000 . Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
