We are seeking a high energy and motivated Production Support Technician to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring efficient material movement and execution, enabling operations to be successful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and inspect incoming shipments to ensure materials match purchase orders .
- Document discrepancies, report damage, and coordinate with the procurement team for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of all received items in inventory management systems.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring items are properly labeled and organized.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Monitor storage conditions and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Transport materials from the warehouse to production areas as required, ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage return-to-stock processes for unused or excess materials.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material movements and transactions.
- Generate daily or weekly reports on material usage, inventory levels, and discrepancies.
- Work closely with production teams to understand material requirements and proactively address shortages.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure the warehouse and material-handling areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety training.
Shift Information
Monday-Thursday 6am-430pm
Experience/Education/Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or production support in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
