Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Planner. The Maintenance Planner plans the resources of the maintenance department to ensure the highest machine availability and best possible machine conditions to ensure the capability to produce high quality products while realizing continuous improvements and budgeting resources. Maintenance Planner is in regular communication with external vendors and service providers and coordinates scheduling with internal resources. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.

Base Salary Range: $66,000 - $77,000

May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:

    Maintenance, updates, and upgrades of Preventative Maintenance System, including planning in ERP software; scheduling with internal and external resources as well as production; creation of workorders and developing new PMs for new or existing equipment; execution with assigned team; and reporting and evaluating of work performed and issues found.
  • Maintains Machine and Facilities documentation in ERP system including spare parts ordering and planning; archiving prints and documentation; creation, updating and population of machine structures.
  • Maintains inventory record of all items (spare parts) Posts to inventory records material dispensed using handheld scanner.
  • Leads inventory count when conducted for spare parts (once a year.)
  • Send out parts for repair and ordering parts.
  • Manages SAP Mobile Maintenance System.
  • Sets up data analytics for SAP\ MM as well as organizes data into interpretable tables and graphs to track planned and unplanned downtime.
  • Resource Planning, including researching, identifying, and ordering spare parts; time management with production scheduling and available work force.
  • Standards representative; dedicated auditor; communication with company representatives; responsible for SOP accuracy; makes recommendations and executes changes.
  • Taking care of incoming parts, receiving, labeling, place in stock or creating new part location.
  • Create / request new SAP spare part numbers through system.

Maintenance Planner Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have knowledge of production flow and the ability to establish priorities.
  • Comprehends project instructions, manuals, and blueprints to ascertain specifications, procedures, objectives, nature of technical problems, and possible solutions to determine spare parts and develop sources to acquire these parts for job in planning.
  • Able to read, understand and comprehend prints, drawings and manuals to identify spare parts and develop maintenance plans.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in an ever-changing environment with demonstrated experience working with deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computer-based applications as well as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access databases.
  • In depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts, able to source parts and understand descriptions name tags etc.
  • Knowledge about machinery / automated machinery how to maintain equipment to be able to develop PMs (greasing bearings, oil changes inspection of gearboxes motors etc.)
  • Physical demands, lifting parts, using ladders to excess shelfs, walking through industrial building to receive parts.
