ChristianaCare is hiring a Medical Assistant II for the Renal Transplant team in Newark, DE. This is a unique Medical Assistant II role that provides dedicated support to transplant coordinators while also performing a variety of clinical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong data entry skills, exceptional attention to detail, thorough documentation practices, and the ability to work independently. Kidney Transplant | ChristianaCare Duties & Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant II will greet and support patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for on-site visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, handling patient call backs, scheduling stat tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance for providers, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal. The Medical Assistant II also performs other related duties as required, adhering to departmental safety rules and practices, and reporting any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations to the supervisor.
