Production Utility is responsible for performing all facets of all positions within a specific department. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality and food safety parameters established. This position requires problem solving responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:

Covers positions in absences. Entails setting up line and equipment. Follows product specification sheet for instructions. Accurately fills out all required Food Safety, Quality paperwork and DCS checks. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Knowledge and experience in Meat Industry is preferred, but not required. Must possess problem solving skills and leadership qualities.

  • Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands. Ability to learn multiple positions.

  • Must meet performance expectations for the position being covered.

  • Work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/orwarm areas (over 100 degrees)

  • This work is physically demanding and can require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups.Some positions may require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs., single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs. or lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Must have the ability to use computerized equipment. Being able to understand and follow oral and written instruction
