Position Summary

Gather requirements, design, build, and test the PeopleSoft security to support and maintain the Campus Solutions system. Perform security reviews and access audits, recommend security solutions, advise on application set-up and build/create application security as required. Work with functional managers and systems users to determine appropriate security configurations and to create audit programs. Serve as guide and consultant for security-related questions from users, analysts and managers. Ensure compliance with applicable government and university security regulations regarding protection of University's Campus Solutions application. Develop and execute information systems security plans and procedures, system security reviews, security education for end-users, and investigation/mitigation of security violations involving information systems.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and

Preferred Education:
Degree in Computer Science or related area

Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft Security administration experience in Campus Solutions including experience in using PeopleSoft version 9.0, developing functional specification and familiarity with Configuration Maintenance.

Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of PeopleSoft workflow rules, roles and routings, Application Engine, Component Interface and People Code development, and security role development including department tree maintenance and dynamic role processes desired. Demonstrated responsibility for security throughout the full life cycle of an implementation including requirements/analysis, design, configuration, testing, and production support. Experience with Oracle database and SQL; Understanding of OS security weaknesses, vulnerabilities and remediation; Knowledge of network and host security assessment tools.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
The preferred candidate will also have the ability to complete tasks within tight timelines; proven in problem solving and decision-making skills for complex problems; Have strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and attention to detail; Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment with general direction; Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Must be able to communicate and present complex technical information in laymen terms, verbally and in writing to all users and senior managers. Excellent technical writing and presentation skills. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to exercise meticulous care in the maintenance, control and accessibility of sensitive information. Knowledge of business processes and their interrelationships. Knowledge of security auditing processes.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
