Acara Solutions seeks a Missile Tracking Systems Engineer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.
- As a Missile Tracking Systems Engineer for the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA).
- You will be part of an elite team providing the evolution, expansion, integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities and infrastructure management, including all development, systems engineering, integration, testing, maintenance, and site support.
- Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and system design behaviors.
- Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads capabilities to track missiles.
- Analysis and fusion of missile tracking data provided by satellite to the ground for processing and rapidly providing and disseminating the information.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 8 years of experience.
- Minimum of 15 years of recent designing and developing systems that can solve complex problems using algorithms.
- Minimum of 10 years of recent algorithm development and tuning for specific mission parameters.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with missile tracking systems design and architecture, and sensor fusion techniques.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience designing logic, assessing and scheduling satellite services to track missiles.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with image processing (collection, handling, storing, and analysis).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree with 6 years of experience.
- Agile experience.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
Additional Information:
- Requires an active Secret Clearance.
