Scheduling / Senior Training & Development Specialist
Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX ATS is seeking a highly qualified Scheduling / Senior Training & Development Specialist to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) Contract with simulator training support - position is contingent upon contract award. Serves as the on-site senior lead and primary point of contact between the Government (COR/OS-COR) and contractor personnel. Responsible for overall EST II operations, scheduling, training oversight, quality control implementation, and personnel accountability. During normal operating hours, the SM shall be available to meet in person or by phone with the COR/On-Site COR/Other Government POCs within 45 minutes of notification. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: 1. Leadership & Oversight:
- Serve as contractor on-site POC for issue resolution
- Monitor contractor personnel and provide accountability oversight
- Ensure system operations, sustainment, and scheduling of EST II systems
- Conduct and participate in management meetings and monthly status reporting
2. Scheduling & Operations:
- Manage daily/weekly training schedules for seven 5-lane EST II systems
- Coordinate flex week and surge training operations (weekend operations as directed)
- Ensure TS-MATS utilization and maintenance reporting is completed in a timely manner each month
3. Training & Instruction:
- Teach EST II operational tasks
- Conduct POI-based instruction and group briefings
- Certify and train new Instructor/System Operators (to include Annual and QA Certification)
- Evaluate student performance and provide remediation guidance
4. Maintenance & Compliance:
- Ensure preventive maintenance tracking in TS-MATS
- Oversee Quality Control Plan implementation
- Ensure mandatory training (AT Level I, OPSEC, IA, iWATCH, etc.) compliance documentation is maintained
5. Reporting:
- Draft and support Monthly Status Reports
- Support Usage Reports
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency operating weapon simulators to include the EST II
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and software
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware/software systems
- Proficient in simulator operation for M16/M4, M9, M2, M240B, M249, MK19, AT4, etc.
- Ability to obtain CAC and meet installation security requirements
- Strong leadership and instructional experience
- Capable of mentoring Computer Operator II and III staff
