Director, M&A Integration - JLL

Location: Chicago

What this job involves:

JLL seeks an experienced Director, M&A Integration, to lead the strategic planning and execution of post-acquisition integration activities across our global platform. This role will drive value creation through seamless integration of acquired businesses, ensuring successful cultural alignment, operational synergies, and accelerated growth objectives while maintaining JLL's market-leading position in commercial real estate services.

This role offers the opportunity to directly impact JLL's growth strategy while working with best-in-class professionals across our global platform. The successful candidate will join during an exciting period of strategic expansion and play a critical role in shaping JLL's future success.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead comprehensive integration planning for acquisitions across JLL's service lines, developing detailed integration roadmaps that align with business unit strategies and corporate objectives
  • Partner with business unit leaders, regional executives, and functional heads across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, and Operations to execute integration plans and coordinate workstream activities
  • Identify, quantify, and track realization of revenue and cost synergies throughout the integration process while developing metrics and reporting frameworks to measure success
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate acquired companies' technology platforms with JLL's global systems including property management software, financial reporting systems, and client relationship management tools
  • Develop retention strategies in partnership with HR for key talent and establish clear communication plans for all stakeholders throughout the integration process
  • Communicate progress to executive leadership and the Board of Directors while identifying integration risks early and developing mitigation strategies
  • Mentor junior team members and educate organization leaders about the value of the Integration Management Office (IMO)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, or strategic consulting with demonstrated success in leading complex integration projects
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving results in a matrix organization across multiple geographies
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in synergy identification, quantification, and tracking
  • Excellent project management capabilities with experience using project management tools and methodologies
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior executives and board-level stakeholders
  • Experience in commercial real estate, professional services, or related industries with understanding of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in project management (PMP) or change management
  • Experience with technology system integrations and enterprise software implementations
  • Knowledge of international business operations and cross-cultural integration challenges
  • Previous experience in consulting or advisory roles supporting M&A transactions
  • Familiarity with property management software, CRM systems, and financial reporting platforms
  • Experience in talent retention and organizational change management initiatives
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for executive-level audiences

Estimated compensation for this position:

190,000.00 - 220,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
