What this job involves:

Serve as the primary design liaison as a Designer with JLL, where you'll function as the day-to-day point of contact for Delta for all design-related activities while actively building relationships with Delta designers and the entire JLL Furniture Solutions team. You'll provide comprehensive design deliverables including drawings, furniture and finish selections, and product recommendations across multiple work order types while maintaining drawing controls for all Sky Clubs and conducting space planning activities. This role positions you at the center of design excellence, where your expertise in CAD management, space planning, and client relationship building will directly impact project success and client satisfaction. Your contributions will support JLL's furniture solutions excellence while you coordinate with Project Managers and Delta design leads, manage specification documentation, update as-built drawings, and ensure adherence to Delta standards across all design deliverables.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Client Relationship Management:Meet weekly or bi-weekly with Delta and internal JLL teams reviewing scope not clearly outlined in work order requests while responding to client requests within 24 hours and building strong relationships with Delta designers
  • Project Coordination & Communication:Meet weekly with JLL Project Manager reviewing active work orders requiring design deliverables and weekly with Program Manager reviewing all active design deliverables and due dates while providing schedule input on design activities
  • Drawing & Documentation Management:Provide drawing controls for all Sky Clubs including drawing management with proper formatting, title blocks, and dates plus file management with organized naming of folders and files while updating as-builts continuously
  • Space Planning & Design Services:Conduct space planning and test-fits as requested by Delta including formal work orders, provide space planning for redensifications and seat utilizations, and conduct design reviews with Delta leads determining replacement and redeployment strategies
  • Specification & Standards Management:Maintain CAD block library per Delta standard ensuring accurate CAD blocks in drawings, maintain specification book per Delta standard, and develop and maintain accessory specification book with updated fabric specifications
  • Work Order Design Deliverables:Provide design deliverables including drawings, fabric/finish selections, and product recommendations for redensifications, seat utilizations, decommissions, assessments, reupholsteries, repairs, and new projects within designated regions
  • Inventory & Asset Management:Coordinate with Project Managers and Delta design leads when assets from warehouses or clubs are slated for redeployment while formally documenting status via inventory database per agreed processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Background in interior design, architecture, or related field with experience in commercial design, space planning, and furniture specification demonstrating understanding of design principles and client service
  • Advanced skills in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) with ability to create accurate drawings, maintain drawing controls, manage file organization, and update as-built documentation consistently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with client design teams, respond promptly to requests, and serve as trusted design advisor across organizational levels
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple internal team members including Project Managers, Program Managers, and Project Coordinators while managing multiple concurrent design deliverables and meeting deadlines
  • Understanding of furniture specification processes, finish selection criteria, and ability to maintain specification books and accessory libraries per client standards and industry best practices
  • Capability to conduct design reviews, make recommendations for space optimization, select replacement furniture when repairs aren't feasible, and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Strong attention to detail particularly in drawing accuracy, specification documentation, inventory tracking, and ensuring adherence to Delta standards across all design deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in corporate, hospitality, or aviation design with understanding of high-traffic environments, durability requirements, and maintenance considerations for commercial furniture applications
  • Experience with furniture specification, reupholstery processes, vendor management, or furniture installation coordination demonstrating understanding of furniture lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD applications, 3D modeling software, or space planning tools that enhance design visualization and client communication capabilities
  • Understanding of project management principles, work order processes, or construction administration with ability to coordinate design activities within larger project frameworks Advanced knowledge of commercial furniture standards, fabric selection criteria, accessibility requirements, or sustainability considerations in furniture specification and selection
  • Professional certifications in interior design (NCIDQ), space planning, or related disciplines with active participation in industry organizations demonstrating commitment to continuous learning
