We are thrilled to bring a Measurement Technician onto the Enbridge Gas Wyoming Team!

Our Measurement Technician will assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment including electronic instrumentation used to monitor gas quality and assist in the maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and sampling systems.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulating and measuring equipment such as pneumatic control systems and electronic measurement devices

  • Assist in the maintenance of the accuracy of gas measurement devices used by customers

  • Assist in the validation of the accuracy of gas measurement devices used by other companies

  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments

  • Produce calibration reports

  • While developing in this role, you will be encouraged to become knowledgeable of the operation and maintenance of gas regulating and measurement equipment and electronics pertaining to gas measurement and monitoring equipment

Who you are:

You have:

  • A High School Diploma/GED along with knowledge of using hand tools

  • A valid driver's license that will be verified upon hire

You can:

  • Show a solid understanding of basic math with decimals and fractions along with the ability to use a personal computer and related software's

  • See objects at close range and determine the distance and relationship between objects along with matching or discriminating between colors

You are:

  • Capable of understanding and completing written and oral instructions and also able to respond to audible and visual alarms

  • Able to respond to emergency conditions which may include: changing flat tires, chaining up vehicle, operating jack, performing minor maintenance, and operating a two-way radio and/or cell phone

The following are considered assets:

  • Automation or measurement experience

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in the field being exposed to Heat, Cold, Loud Noise and Fumes 50% of the time, work in an office environment 25% of the time along with 75% travel

  • Work schedule with consistent of (4) 10 hour days

  • Subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing with satisfactory results subject to DOT and company requirements

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 80 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
