Job Description

CNC machine shop seeking a Quality Engineer to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the quality management system and verifying system compliance with customer and regulatory agency requirements.


Assist in maintaining corrective action and continual improvement systems.


Work with Engineering to develop control plans, implement SPC, collect and analyze data.


Analyze customer rejects, complete effective root cause analysis and manage related action items and provide improvement input for quality system changes.


Assist with and/or conduct internal and external audit activities.


Initiate required quality training and maintain training documentation.


Monitor timeliness for all quality functions.


Complete First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) per customer requirements including AS9102.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field preferred but not required.


In depth knowledge of ISO and AS9100, AS9102 quality systems.


Fluent in GD&T and application of ASME Y14.5M.


Ability to read and interpret product prints and military specifications.


Proficient written and oral communication skills.


Highly organized.


Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word experience.
