JOB SUMMARY

The Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) Team Leader oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of business acceptance testing activities to ensure new systems, enhancements, and operational processes meet business, regulatory, and technical requirements. This role plays a critical part in validating operational readiness for enterprise initiatives, including those related to NSA (No Surprises Act) compliance, arbitration workflows, automation, AI/ML-driven tools, and digital transformation efforts. The Team Leader provides leadership to BAT Associates, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures quality outcomes that support organizational strategy and operational excellence.

DUTIES



  1. Lead and manage the BAT team, including workload prioritization, resource allocation, and performance oversight.
    2. Develop and maintain BAT methodologies, test plans, scripts, and acceptance criteria aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
    3. Oversee testing activities for initiatives related to NSA compliance, arbitration strategy, and Surprise Bill workflows.
    4. Validate functionality for AI/ML-enabled tools, automation solutions, and predictive analytics models to ensure operational accuracy and readiness.
    5. Partner with operational, technical, and analytics teams to define testing scope, timelines, and business requirements.
    6. Ensure thorough validation of system functionality, workflow impacts, data integrity, and reporting outputs.
    7. Oversee defect tracking, root cause analysis, and retesting processes to ensure timely resolution.
    8. Support digital transformation and application development initiatives as a key business stakeholder.
    9. Collaborate with vendor partners to validate system enhancements, integrations, and performance expectations.
    10. Ensure documentation of test results, sign-offs, and compliance with governance and audit requirements.
    11. Identify opportunities to automate testing processes and improve efficiency through technology.
    12. Mentor, coach, and develop BAT Associates to build team capability and subject matter expertise.
    13. Ad hoc support to AVP, Operations as necessary.
    14. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.
    15. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
    16. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
    17. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.
    18. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.
    19. Responsible for routine internal monitoring and auditing of compliance risks, prompt response to compliance issues as they are raised, investigation of potential compliance problems as identified in the course of self-evaluation and audits, correction of such problems promptly and thoroughly to reduce the potential for recurrence as required by applicable state and federal laws, regulations and MPI's Compliance Programs.

JOB SCOPE:
The incumbent operates with moderate to high latitude for decision-making within the BAT function. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of operational workflows, and the ability to manage multiple testing initiatives simultaneously. The Team Leader provides direct oversight of BAT Associates, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $83K to $95K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
