SUMMARY:
Acts as an intermediary between insurance companies and commercial customer insurance buyers. Will advise and recommend insurance policies that best meet the customer's needs. Their primary focus is to produce new commercial business and grow existing relationships. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude. Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Prospects, cold calls, and networks through outside community activities for purposes of building a client pipeline and book of business. Receives and act on referrals from other lines of business within the bank as well as generate referrals back to those lines of business. Negotiates coverage pricing and conditions to meet client needs. This includes requesting coverage additions, changes and amendments, as well as preparing and reviewing documents such as proposals, quotes, submissions, spreadsheets, insurance documents and other materials. Utilizes technology and software applications including agency management systems, document management systems and workflows. Includes coordinating and communicating client service needs, directing and assisting team members as needed. Reviews proposals and policy documents for quality assurance requirements in accordance with proper procedures. Responds to internal and external service inquiries and take ownership to provide problem resolution. Complies with policies and procedures and adhere to service standards and timelines. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. May be responsible for directly supervising employees in the designated functional area.a Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Working knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Previous experience with Agency Management Systems. Property and Casualty Insurance license in all appropriate states or license must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Active and familiar with the market and business community within which the representative will operate. Good time management skills. Self-motivated. This includes being an organized, detail oriented, and independent self-starter. Strong proofreading skills. Must be self-driven to maintain the level of knowledge required to provide the highest professional level of advice and counsel to the insured while managing all aspects of business account servicing. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with personnel at all levels. Includes strong telephone, presentation, as well as facilitation and customer service skills. Ability to work autonomously and perform well under pressure. Includes the ability to operate efficiently in a fast paced, high volume environment as well as set and meet deadlines. Ability to recognize and preserve confidentiality. | |
