The State Highway Administration's (SHA) District 4 (Baltimore County) is currently recruiting for a Shop Administrative Technician III position. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification.
Nature of Work: The Shop Administrative Technician (SAT) will procure materials, parts, supplies, and services for the maintenance facility. Also, this position will manage the receipt, storage, and disbursement of same, from the stock room at the maintenance facility. The incumbent in this position will maintain total working knowledge of Financial Management Information System (FMIS) - ADPICS VISA Procurement Program and Bradley Inventory System to assist with procurement and inventory management. Also, this position will provide administrative/secretarial support to the Resident Maintenance Engineer, Assistant Resident Maintenance Engineer, Team Leaders, and other employees assigned to the maintenance facility. The SAT will manage all office functions and needs. They will also maintain total working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures in order to provide guidance in personnel actions. This position will accurately prepare bi-weekly time reports. Other duties include maintaining knowledge of the Computerized Maintenance Accomplishment Recording System (MAXIMO) to assist with accomplishment tracking, and FMIS - R*STARS to assist with budget and expenditure tracking.
