We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (CFP&A) team based out of our Fremont campus. The team is responsible for performing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that support Lam's corporate and strategic decisions of the CFO, CEO, and the Board of Directors. This role is a critical partner to cross-functional leaders and corporate initiative owners, providing financial transparency, strategic insight, and disciplined execution across enterprise priorities.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong initiative and accountability, and possesses exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple complex deliverables simultaneously. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial rigor, enabling data-driven decision making, and ensuring compliance and governance across corporate investment initiatives. This role has high visibility within Lam's Finance Executive Management and offers the opportunity to collaborate with many different groups outside of the CFP&A group (including but not limited to the Product Group Finance, Global Operations, Government Affairs, Digital Transformation, Global Customer Operations).

What you'll do

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Partnership & Financial Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted finance partner for the Digital Transformation organization.
  • Provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and drive disciplined decision-making around investments and resource allocation.
  • Translate business strategies into financial plans, forecasts, and performance tracking frameworks.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, presenting actionable insights to leadership.

Budget Tracking and Governance

  • Lead financial planning, tracking, and reporting for enterprise-level corporate initiatives including Digital Transformation organization and Government Grants.
  • Ensure alignment between approved budgets, strategic objectives, and actual spend.
  • Develop and maintain scalable tracking mechanisms to monitor performance against investment milestones.
  • Drive accountability and transparency across initiative owners through structured reporting and review processes.

Corporate Financial Planning, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Support annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Prepare executive-ready financial reports and presentations summarizing performance, variances, and forward-looking projections.
  • Enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and data models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting that supports senior leadership decision-making.

Compliance, Controls & Process Excellence

  • Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies, governance standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with accounting and audit teams to support financial close and audit readiness related to corporate initiatives.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Drive automation and efficiency improvements to reduce manual effort and increase data reliability.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics; MBA or related professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex projects or enterprise initiatives with financial oversight responsibilities.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
  • Semiconductor industry knowledge not required, but preferred
Preferred qualifications
  • Strong financial systems expertise. Familiarity with SAP, BW, Business Objects Planning is a requirement.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, well organized, high standard of accuracy and ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills using Microsoft Excel and strong Powerpoint skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to summarize complex and technical issues / analysis into simple and clear messaging for Senior management
  • Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive and independent person who identifies issues and drives them to resolution
  • The person must also be driven to continuously identify and implement improvements to processes, analytics and metrics.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 - $253,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
