Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Technical Program Manager. In this role you will be responsible for design, development, implementation, integration and analysis of technical products and systems. You will perform engineering design evaluations and provide technical interfaces to customers on multiple projects as well as resolve highly complex technical issues for customers and conduct advanced research.

This role reports to the Programs Director - Aerospace and will have an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Moog Avionics, located in Mineral Wells, TX.

Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will:

  • Review and evaluate product requests from customers and formulate conceptual and feasible design changes to existing products to meet customer requirements.

  • Analyze project proposals to determine feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production time, and discuss proposals with engineers, customers, and other personnel.

  • Support customer development and design.

  • Evaluate product designs for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications.

  • Perform system/software integration activities to verify proper functionality of the products.

  • Develop new testing applications or modify existing tools to support integration activities and formal tests.

  • Support the software/system development activities for the company's new and legacy product lines.

  • Provide expert knowledge in the architecture, design, and function of our company's avionics products.

  • Lead and support the finalization of technical solutions for customers by applying extensive experience, judgement, and knowledge of FAA certification process.

  • Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.

  • Display a strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • Establish knowledge of the avionics certification processes for the FAA and other certification authorities.

To be considered for this role, here's what you will need to bring with you:

  • Typically, a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

    • In lieu of a formal degree we may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of professional related experience; with at least 5+ years of technical experience in aircraft and avionics systems.

  • Demonstrated experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

  • Knowledge of design and development processes.

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing MS Suite of Products including excel, power point and MS project.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally.

Salary Range Transparency:

Mineral Wells, TX $135,000.00-$165,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
