Security Officer - Armed Field Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Field Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document security-related activity, and support a welcoming experience. This post requires an armed guard card/license and offers a role grounded in teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and reporting to site leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter, watching for suspicious activity and conditions that may require security-related attention.
• Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization, and maintaining visitor and key control logs per site policy.
• Monitor surveillance systems and conduct security-related checks, coordinate with local law enforcement when appropriate, and complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security-related experience OR a college degree.
• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Have an armed guard card/license.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
