What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for payroll tax and W2 processing, directly influencing the financial accuracy of our multi-state operations. You will move beyond simple processing to become a strategic problem-solver, managing our payroll helpdesk and optimizing data workflows within a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for payroll tax matters and W2 processing reconciliation to ensure total accuracy.

  • Spearhead the Payroll Helpdesk by researching and resolving complex employee and third-party queries with precision.

  • Own the bi-weekly payroll cycle for multiple legal entities, ensuring all data transactions are processed accurately through third-party exchanges.

  • Drive compliance and integrity by reconciling payroll transmissions and validating report totals in support of SOX requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and Accounting teams to prepare insightful reports for management and finance leaders.

  • Ensure total compliance by accurately calculating federal, state, and local taxes and adhering to all submission deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in multi-state US payroll operations within a shared service environment.

  • Expert-level knowledge of legislation and regulations for multi-legal entity payroll and taxation.

  • High proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN), including data importing and complex problem-solving.

  • Proven track record of maintaining payroll best practices and navigating HRIS software like Workday or UKG.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience processing Canadian payroll.

  • Professional payroll certification such as CPP or FPC.

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
